There was a small 3/4 foot wave at Long Beach, which I enjoyed as the sun set yesterday. But the South Easter howled last night and this morning looked blown out . You may have heard that there was a big fire in the informal housing section of Masiphumele over the weekend. A friend who lives there wanted to build out of bricks, but due to council red tape was told by the not to. Brick houses are much more likeley to withdstand fire than tin and wood. Anyway, so his wood/tin house was burnt down. He has now decided to build a brick house to be safer from fires, then clad it with tin and wood to keep the council happy.
